Andy Pursley is an accomplished music educator and percussionist. He went to Ohio’s Miami University and studied Music Education with the focus of percussion under the supervision of Dr. Bill Albin. While at Miami University, Andy has performed with the likes of Andy Narell, Dave Brubeck and A.R. Rahman. He also participated in the 2003 Macy’s Day Parade and participated in Miami University’s Steel Drum Ensembles, Gamelan Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Marching Band. He also performed in Drum Corps International with the Marion Glory Cadets in 2003 and has experience with guitar and bass.

Since graduating from Miami University, he has been teaching percussion, drum set, piano and ukulele privately with a multitude of schools in Ohio and North Carolina.  We are excited to have Andy with us, he is available for studio and virtual lessons!
