Abiegale Kamara

Abiegale Kamara

Abiegale Kamara is a classically trained soprano and writer with an expressionist spirit. While growing up in the pastoral scape of Ohio, she found her love for music at an early age through connecting with her roots in Sierra Leone. As she fortified her own voice, Abiegale took a particular interest in opera and classical singing when she studied with mezzo soprano Nancy Maultsby, at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music. Some of her most cherished operatic roles include the works of Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress, Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, and Griffin Candey’s The House of Bernada Alba. It was in these roles that her appreciation for librettos and literature flourished, inspiring her craft as a writer. Since college, Abiegale has intentionally focused her mission of serving others through educating and sharing her fervor for music making.

Abiegale’s area of instruction include singing with an emphasis on technique, interpretation, basic music theory, audition and music preparation, and foreign language. More than anything, Abiegale encourages her students to establish their own voice through knowledge of self and nurturing the magic that is alive in music.
